Samsung has achieved what it says is the fastest 5G speed in a lab demonstration that combined 800MHz of mmWave spectrum with MU-MIMO (Multi-User, Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output) technology.

It used two test mobile devices, to achieve approximately 4.3Gbps speeds on each, reaching an industry peak speed of 8.5Gbps across both devices. The test used two key technologies in carrier aggregation and MU-MIMO in order to achieve the speed.

According to Samsung, achieving such speeds will enable mobile operators to deliver 8K streaming via 5G, as well as AR remote learning.
